Variety says Chad and Evan Law ( The Hit List) wrote the script which reunites Barbarash, Van Damme and producer Brad Krevoy who apparently collaborated on a project called Assassination Games which was just picked up by Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (though we're not sure when we'll see that get released). Obviously this sounds right up Van Damme's alley, but I can't help but wish that after JCVD, he might try something different. Ernie Barbarash will direct the film which follows an ex-mercenary kidnapping expert hired by a martial arts fighter whose daughter has gone missing. His last venture on film poked fun at himself in the form of JCVD, but now the longtime action star is getting back into his old groove with Six Bullets. If you listened closely, you heard his voice in last month's release of Kung Fu Panda 2, but now it looks like Jean-Claude Van Damme will return to some live-action ass-kicking very soon.
